LAUSD Salary Point Class: Beginner Ukulele
This is Bartt's LAUSD Salary Point Course. It's a complete ukulele course for beginners. Designed primarily for those who know NOTHING about music and have never held an ukulele before, but all LAUSD educators are welcome to take this course for one salary point.
It's completely online and asynchronous, so you go at your own pace and in your own hours. Just log in any time of day or night, and pick up where you left off.
The course is on Google Classroom. When you register here, Bartt will send you the class code and you can join in Google Classroom. Once you're in, everything is self-explanatory. Just go to Google Classroom and get started playing!
No in-person meetings. No office hours or obligation to be anywhere. But Bartt is available any time for questions, extra help or whatever else comes up. Just email him and he'll get right back to you with whatever you need!
The course is 37.5 hours, with no homework. So as soon as you complete the course, you'll get your salary point. Bartt will handle all of the LAUSD submission stuff, so you don't have to do anything after you complete the course.
This class is structured into 14 units, with each unit being comprised of various lessons. You watch the short videos, practice the lessons and upload your responses.
THIS IS A NEW COURSE, FOR NEW CREDIT. If you've taken any of Bartt's other ukulele classes, yu can still take this one for an additional salary point. It is a different class from Bartt's previous uke classes, so you will learn a lot of new things. It's a very comprehensive course.
